I am interested in dating that leads to a long term, joy ride filled, connected, compatible, wide awake, fulfilling relationship. I have been to the peaks and the valleys. I know my gifts and my curses. I accept them and confront them leaving me open to my partner.

I am into outdoor adventurer and indoor exploration. Think snowy peaks, babbling creeks, tall trees, Rock-climbing, cross country skiing, nude in the hot spring. I’ve been known to ride my motorcycle to the mountains and then hike a good seven miles to the summit and back. I like to be out in nature where the craziness in our world can't intrude. The camera comes along as it does in the city where I am always looking for ways to see and show things in a new light. I am a photographer and film maker. The camera is one instrument of art and communication. I write, I joke, I reach for the sublime, the silly, the sensual and know when to deal with the serious. I am interested in history, music, art, theater, human nature, politics (yike) and what’s for dinner. I can cook, fix things, manage finances, drive, admit when I’m wrong - just don’t ask me to sing.

I’ve been on the set with the stars and with the footloose on the streets. I was a single Dad raising my son from infancy to maturity (my close and caring family helped). He's now a very well adjusted professional he has blessed me with a beautiful and delightful granddaughter who likes to rock climb with her "Grampa". Although I never remarried I am just out of a wonderful longterm relationship that ended because our lives went in different directions.

Common denominators: Please be fit, active, non-smoking, normal height to weight. Be educated, smart, funny, open hearted, curious, seeking, sharing, centered, comfortable with your body, emotions, sexuality and love the outdoors. I’m not talking a blanket on the beach, although that can be a romantic interlude, I mean out in the mountains, the desert, Big Sur, the wild places. Notwithstanding that, I am also just as happy to go to dinner or the theater or a concert, hey even swap meets. Motorcycle friendly won’t hurt.

I do want to connect with you. A wine bar is good. Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast or a cool evening walk are good. Or if it appeals to you we could play pool. I am a student of the game. Oh wait that's not a first date, That's a know you well date. Besides those first date suggestions I think a first meeting should be less committing so what will it be? An ice cream treat? A double mocca latte? Buster's in my neighborhood has both.
