Greetings to all the fish hereabouts! I hope you all find what you are seeking on PoF!

Hmmm...what to say...this is never an easy part to fill in. Just a "regular" guy at this point looking for a date here and there to fill in the hours between Friday end-of-work-week and Monday morning back-to-work with hopes that it will work into something more special and long-term. You have to start somewhere, right? Dating seems the logical place.

I like to go out dancing, take in a movie, even watch the tube if there's something interesting on (ER, CSI, Law and Order, Stargate, etc). I prefer to plan things, but can be spontaneous as well. I do go to the gym at least a couple of times a week to stay in reasonable shape. It's hard to resist a tasty snack though.

I am honest (ask me anything and I'll answer you), open-minded, kind...looking for similar in a partner...
I prefer to read science fiction as a subject (favorite authors include Terry Brooks..Shannara, and Stephen Donaldson...Thomas Covenant), but am not locked into it.

I enjoy some card and board games, have a large vegetable garden, play golf in the warmer weather and love a good BBQ. I do like animals, but prefer to have a cat as a pet rather than a dog....though nothing, at the moment, lives with me.

I find that exchanging mail messages is a good way to kick things off, but meeting is the only way to see if there is any real attraction between people, so lets do that!

Whatever we decide upon together. Coffee or a drink is a common thing to do the first time (Starbucks or Timmies? Shark Club or Spinnakers? or other?) I'm open to suggestions...
