I think a first date should be something casual and fun, getting acquainted without the meeting seeming like a job interview, or else I might as well just email you my "dating" resume...lol. I've always said its not what you're doing, its who you're doing it with; in the right company just about anything can be a good time. I'm not one for the typical dinner and a movie routine; who ever thought that sitting in a dark room not talking was any way to get acquainted?? Same goes for seeing a loud band at a bar, where you can't hear each other over the music. That's great for another date, but not a first. How about just a cup of coffee/drink with some pleasant conversation to start with, and the option to continue the afternoon/evening if we hit it off? First dates are really just to get the initial meeting out of the way anyway, and get to know each other to the point where you feel comfortable enough to want to go out again. Second date, yeah, dinner and a movie possibly, but even better, a ballgame, a visit to a museum, a roadtrip somewhere, or nowhere in particular even, my favorite destination. Like I said, its all about the company, not the activity. If you feel likewise, look me up!
