| | My biggest passions should tell you a lot about me and who I’d love to meet: conversation, books, cooking and fine dining (& drinking!), travel and the arts… I’m looking for a refined woman. I don’t mean ‘staid’ or ‘proper’, just someone who appreciates these things; culture and education, arts and travel – really, someone with interest in all the truly good things in life – intellectual, emotional and physical.
Literacy is important to me (yes, I’m that rarity, a literate engineer), and conversation bonds people to me. I’m attracted to sophistication and good taste, but tempered with enough adventurousness and humility to avoid snobbery.
Why me? Because I barbecue the tastiest tenderloin & cook some of the best Indian dal you’ll ever taste, mix some of the finest****ails, brew the best coffee in K-town, spin an enormous diversity of music, kiss like Casanova, ha!… what’s not to like?
Truly though, I’m intelligent, decent, kind and truly a gentleman – almost anachronistic, but not quite. I’m sometimes sarcastic, often serious, but usually open-minded and playful – I’m a happy person. And I’m brutally honest, but not without tact. I have very strong opinions, and I’m working on curbing my enthusiasm, if you know what I mean… I often work with blue-collar Americans. I’ve lived about 6 years abroad, in Asia and the States, speak English, French and Thai, and still travel to the States often for work.
I’m fit, but not much on the gym; I prefer physical work, walking and hiking. For the first time in my life, I’m looking into getting a treadmill for home use. I’ll get a lot of miles in watching big-screen movies at home, ha!
My career’s solid, but I look for real satisfaction outside of work. I’ve been heavily engaged in DIY in my old house, and enjoy it enough that I’m considering buying another house to fix up. That speaks also to a strong interest in early retirement, ha!
I’ve had mostly good experiences dating online. Working from home & often out of town, the medium works for me, flawed though it is. Still, I can't wait until I'm DONE with it, ha! I’m really easy going about a first meeting, and won’t be crushed if I’m not your cup of tea and you say so. So, please feel free to say hi! All the best! |
