Do you want children?

About Me
Can I get another one? LOL
"I want to be extraordinary together, rather then ordinary apart"
"I understand nothing and no one is perfect...everything has a crack in it, thats how the light gets in."
Who am I? Well I'm an educated, never been married, no kids, career driven woman who is looking to add more of a balance to her life. I love to laugh (who doesn't though right) and have fun with those I love...and I can enjoy myself pretty much anywhere if with the right company. I like to keep busy, learn new things and keep active like getting out on my bike and exploring new trails and parks (not much of an off-roader-extreme-crazy-hills kinda gal though), going for long drives with no destination, taking off for a weekend renting a cottage/hotel room just to get away...and I'm hoping to start traveling more so it would be nice to have someone to go with me. At first I'm a little shy but once I warm up you'll be going, wow, where did SHE come from?? I'll try almost anything...twice (but no food challenges, yuk)...I'll make funny faces for no reason or start singing (not very well either) and dancing around the house just to make you laugh...oh and if we are washing the car, I'll so squirt you with the hose so you better get me first:) I'm always cracking jokes and can be a real smartass actually...my humour is often a quality mentioned by my friends when introduced to others. I'm past my party'n days as the real world doesn't leave much time for it but I would still like someone who would tear up the town with me on the odd Friday night and who knows how to have a fun time at a party (so one who doesn't need a babysitter or bail money)...but who also is happy vegging out, going for a hike, watching a movie or playing cards. I do have a serious side and I LOVE to talk about social and political issues as well as current events. I love a rousing discussion and I want someone who has an opinion on things...an analytical/educated opinion too, not just that you believe something because you co-workers-uncles-sisters-in-laws-dog-groomer had something happen to her therefore she's the norm/standard. LOL. So I can be serious but since I have to be that way at work all day I do want to laugh, be silly, have fun and enjoy myself when I get home. Basically I know when to be serious and when not to.
I'm an upbeat person who's always on the go although my life is about to slow down a bit as I just finished some additional schooling I wanted. YEAH!! I also got a job outside Toronto - spending the best years of my life sleeping on a go trian just didn't appeal to me anymore...however I will miss my friends and the shopping:) In my free time now I basically like to keep busy spending time with friends and family, being active, watching movies, reading...normal stuff. I also just bought a house in Bowmanville so I'll be moving there soon and I really look forward to spending time making it my home sweet home...would love someone to share it with though.
Now I used to list all of my requirements for an ideal partner, but the reality is it all comes down to that connection between two people…the infamous chemistry - and you only know it when you feel it, regardless of what qualities the other person does or doesn’t have. Things I’ve found to be a turn off in one man, are a turn on or not important when the chemistry is right so who am I to think I know what I want in the end:)
Having said that, there are some things I do know I want as I do have standards, haha. I require that you be a “good man” which seems to mean different things to different people – basically that you are a faithful, kind, honest and open-minded individual. You have to be a cuddle bug and romantic/thoughtful person (e.g. someone who leaves notes around the house or in my pockets, wants to just give me a hug for no reason, loves to spoon). And on a touchy subject, I would also prefer someone without kids (or needy animals, which I've found are like kids) - only because I'm hoping to find someone with the freedom to travel and do things at the drop of a hat. Also I always hoped my partner and I could go through the experience of having a child for the first time together. Cheesy but true. However, I know that by this age that can be hard and if you are a great person and a wonderful father (and there are no crazy ex's involved) then I'm not going to overlook a good catch based on the fact you have children already. We'd just have to figure out a way for the relationship to meet both our needs. I do love kids and they love me, I'd never be a wicked step mother or anything.
I should also say I love intelligent men, the brighter the bulb the better...but not arrogantly smart...humble smart, you know when and how to use it and have it mixed with personality/social skills and a wicked sense of humour. The best way to describe it would be I want the class comedian, not a class clown or browner. So not the guy who wins all the awards but has no friends or the guy that runs up on stage, grabs his diploma and then moons the audience - I want the guy who talked him into doing that;) Smart enough to think of it, not dumb enough to do it.
Basically, I am hoping to find an intelligent, loyal, hard working, independent, funny, fun guy. Someone who will be my best friend and who I can grow old with. If you are not looking for the same, don't know what you want in life and are not past the game playing and booty chasing (or I'd hear "lock down in cell block A" in background should we talk on the phone) then you aren't for me, please move on I'm just not interested. Low Self-esteem Sally is two profiles down and to the right (the one with her boobs showing in her pics) - she can't wait to hear from you. Also if you have multiple dates with multiple women in the next week/couple of weeks we won't be a match - thats in the serial dater category and it shows you're not really into long term, its mostly playing "lets make a date". I still believe my one is out there, I just have to find him (and hope he thinks my picture is cute enough to click on;)
Ok, so it appears I need to be a bit more specific because indicating I like to have fun seems to translate into I want to talk about (or have you show me) your private parts within the first conversation I have with you...I don't just to be clear. Brain first, then if you're lucky, private parts after you've proven not to be a dumbarse or perv. And for the s-l-o-w ones, NO INTIMATE ENCOUNTER seekers please. Sex without real feelings for the other person is as empty as Paris Hilton's head...so NOT HOT!!
First Date
My ideal date would be going out for a great meal (fine dining or a picnic in the park, doesn't matter...just give me a flavour sensation), then on the way to a pub we would climb a cool, old tree just to get a different perspective on things and laugh at how we used to do it much more gracefully when we were 8 yrs old…then once we hit the pub we would play a few rounds of pool and have some pints while discussing how to save the world…or how Ms. Spears got the point of shaving her head.
