Hello everyone my name is Dan!
I just received my Bachelors degree from UMSL in Public Policy Administration with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am attending the Police Academy at Hillsboro, MO for a year to become a police officer; hopefully leading to a detective position. I am originally from St. Louis City. Ultimately, I plan to use my experience and my degree to start a non-profit trying to help poor communities fight crime through citizen empowerment and community awareness.

My friends would describe me as a good listener because I make a concerted effort to understand and relate to others. I am part hopeless romantic and part pragmatic; not every girl wants or appreciates romance. I try to be friendly and good-natured to everyone I meet because I believe that eventually a heart becomes cold and dull without occasional displays of random cheer.

As far as my habits or routine I like to eat healthy and I workout at least two times a week either doing a little weight training or Judo. Competing in Judo and Jiujitsu is a hobby of mine. The complexity of thought and form in them is amazing to me; you feel like an artist making a painting. I am not very vicarious with sports so I like playing sports more than watching them. I have a passion for reading and what I read ranges from nonfiction (my favorite) to the occasional romance novel (my secret favorite lol).

My ideal woman would be intelligent, compassionate, funny, adventurous, open-minded (culturally), and who is engaging to be around. In return, they would find a man with the same qualities and someone who would give them 100%.

PS: I love lots of different types of women, BUT if your main picture shows you drunk holding a 40oz of Malt liquor then you're probably not the girl for me. Drinking in moderation is fine ladies, and I love going to bars and hanging out with my friends and don't mind you going out and doing your thing with your girlfriends, but I don't drink myself, so I probably wouldn't want to get with a burgeoning alcoholic.

PPS: No completely shallow women please! Shallow means a variety of things, so think about it!

PPPS: I put Long term on there to show that I never go into a relationship with the intention that it will be short term and I'm always open to the possibility that I will find true love and be with that person forever. So I'm very open to the possibility of a long term relationship, but I certainly don't mind doing the dating or hanging out thing; as long as it's agreed upon first.

Hmmm....the dinner and movie route has been done before and is quite traditional. Something I'd like to do, is perhaps go to the Art Museum on a date and check out the newest displays, then perhaps either get something to eat or I can cook (I love to cook). I'm really down for anything, even a small coffee shop get together.

Here's a cool idea: Lets volunteer for the Humane Society together, we can help needy animals out and get to know each other at the same time :)
