This whole internet dating protocol with all its’ titles and restrictions of “must be looking for this or must not be looking for that” is so sad and disheartening. If our parents would have put up these restrictive road blocks to basic communication, most of us would not have been born. It is no wonder that there are so many lonely people out there not in any type of relationship at all and just vegetating all alone as the best years of their lives just fade away.There is more to life then just raising kids and maintaining a career. At least I hope so. I sure do miss the not so distant time when people attempted to touch on a more real and personal level – good or bad, but real. I don’t recall any ads on television for depression medication not so many years ago – or maybe I was just too busy enjoying life to notice. The risk of failure and heart ache is much better then the consolation of fear and numbness.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the one who loves you and treats you right and forget about the ones who don't or can't and don't even deserve your affection or infatuation. Believe in your heart and soul that everything happens for a reason. If fate gives you a chance at love and happiness – grab it before it disappears. Take a leap of faith. It may change your life forever. Nobody ever said it would be easy. But it will be worth it – I promise. Take the hand of the one who loves you, rest your mind, close your eyes and believe what you feel in your heart.

I travel all over the United States and Canada. I will be unofficially retiring in less then 7 years and relocating at least for the winter months to a warmer climate. It blows my mind when I run across profiles of women who have closed the door to chance and destiny by restricting someone from even sending them a message because that person’s base residence is more then 75 miles away from them. All those romantic destiny type movies I have seen over the years are either pure Hollywood fantasy or just maybe I am one of those few people that believe in the circumstances of fate.

I am done dating for a while. I am just looking for friends to chat with and possibly meet to talk with over drinks.
