I am the type of person who tries to put people at ease on the first meeting - friendly, out-going, and dresses appropriately for each occassion. I am finacially independent, in excellent health, own my own home, and not loaded with debt. I am a free lance writer, and also run an online business. More about that later. Live theatre and ballroom dancing are my 2 passions, but the lack of partners for both are slim. I was a ballroom dance teacher in my younger days.
I am also partial to dining by candle light, either at home or in small cafes. I have one daughter who lives in Hawaii, that I try to see a couple of times a year, either here or there. I also have one cat, Sammy, that I lovingly refer to as my "houseboy".
I would like to meet a man who lives in my area, or close by, who is also finacially independent, with a personality compatible with mine, who is interested in the same things that I have listed above.

I think a first date should always begin with a greeting - a get together lunch or coffee break. Sort of a way to get to know you. I believe that people will know at that first meeting whether or not they want to move on to date #2.
