I am a 42 man and I am looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. Searching for a one man woman looking for a one woman man. I am laid back with a wicked sense of humor. Learning is a large part of my life. It is not unusual for me to go through a book a week ranging in subjects from genetic engineering to a good old fashioned western. I am a jack of all trades and master of some. If I set my mind to do something I do it. It may take a while but eventually I accomplish it. You will find me to be very laid back and down to earth. I can hang out with the hoity toity crowd, know which wine goes with what food, talk politics, discuss art, but no I am not just as comfortable in a tux as blue jeans. I have a broad background ranging from working in the oil field, a Special Forces instructor in the Army, a janitor to put myself through college, to my present job of Systems Architect.
I love to cook and have yet to meet a woman who can best me in the kitchen (yes that includes Mom who is a wonderful cook). Dinner parties occur at my house usually once a month followed by some Rockband or I play my guitar for some live Karaoke. I camp out as often as possible and love anything outdoors. I have tried to include pictures in my profile that reflect the things that I enjoy. We have already covered cooking, I play the guitar, and I have a boat at Pier 121 that I spend a great deal of time on. I have very traditional values such as honor, loyalty, and family first. Unfaithfulness to me is unacceptable no matter what the circumstances. I have an 11 year old son who saved me. I never knew how to be a truly good person until I tried to raise one and it has been by far the most amazing and joyful experience in my life. I love children and would actually prefer to find someone who has children of their own and would love to create a family. Professionally I am at the top of my field and have many material things but there are many other things that I do not have. Such as a best friend to enjoy life with.
What am I looking for? A mature woman who is not seeing what is out there but knows exactly what she wants. At least 30. I have dated women under that age and it never did work out very well. I am a little too old to be out at 2am on a week night. And she needs to be one sexual polarity or the other (curious or undecided need not apply). And of course all of the usual, attractive, sweet, good mother, INTELLIGENT, trustworthy, GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR, and ready to settle down and live a good life.
