My life is full and happy - many friends, fun activities to partake in/of - my
friendship base seems to expand each day - Retirement became boring, so I volunteer two days a week at a local elementary school, have just been accepted into a program w/ Wake County Courts, and serve on my Homeowner's Board. Love most music (except opera and rap) - love to dance if the music "moves" me, but haven't had much chance for partner dancing - have taken a few lessons - My grown children are VERY important to me, but we're not tied by apron strings, etc. (in fact, I left them behind in So. CA when I moved here four years ago) - I don't care what the calendar says, I feel younger than at any point in my life (except. perhaps as a child) - I am very open-minded (please don't try to put me in a box - I don't fit - spent most of my life trying to fit into other people's boxes) I am a "glass half-full" (at least)
person who sees the positive in people and situations (until and unless they give me a reason not to - and, then, quite frankly, I don't need them in my life!!!) My life is filled with wonderful, positive, caring people of all ages, ethnicities,lifestyles, etc., etc. - I'm enjoying learning how to be silly and have fun (can be serious and responsible when necessary). I've been widowed for 15 years, and am not at all prone to comparing men to my late husband, so if you're divorced, I really don't need to hear all the negatives about your ex. I'm intent on finding the man who is not intimidated by my intelligence, my zany sense of humor and the fact that mutual respect and loyalty are principles I have lived by. Status symbols don't impress me - respect, honoring a handshake or your word, treating everyone with kindness and respect are MUCH more important. Tho' any organized religion doesn't appeal to me, I have also tried to live by The Golden Rule and, frankly, haven't figured out yet why some people find it so difficult to follow. Let's have fun on the glorious adventure called life!!!

Somewhere equi-distant (geography issues can be worked out along the line) - someplace quiet where we could actually talk WITH each other (ie - you be as interested in me as I am in you) - coffee, drinks, whatever, and go from there - whether that be a walk, dinner, a movie, a drive somewhere - just not tent camping.
