I prefer to keep the distance no more than 75 +/- miles for simplicity and an actual chance at something working out.

As opposed to referencing it as a "first date",I prefer to label it a first physical meeting.We surely will have learned enough about each other prior to meeting for the first time to have a 50/50 chance of a real first date materializing.
If not,the first physical encounter(that sounds promising)shall be one in which either or can simply get up and leave if necessary.
