Rant: labels are evil- my legs are thin, my shoulders are athletic, my head is average & my waist has a few extra pounds- what body type is that? [ 6', 180 ]. My hair is mixed colour- brown, grey & flesh coloured. I should've lied about smoking- even the smokers'll probably dis me. [S]omebody [ not me ]also made a mistake with my age.
Rant over- I'm recently divorced after 30+ yrs. of marriage, with 4 kids- 17 & 20 yr. old at home- part time; I love them dearly & will miss them when they go- all too soon / not soon enough?? I still get along with my X, so the baggage shouldn't be too cumbersome.
I read everything I can- from Michener to Irvine to Pratchett- " I get hooked everytime the writer talks to me like a friend-T. Rex"
I listen to everything I can- Bartok, to Brubeck, to Radiohead-to your voice [ see I.A. below ]- also play a mean [ bad ] horn.
I watch all sports, but would rather play - especially hockey- Hoser eh ?
I recently read an article describing Involuntary vs. Voluntary Attention. V.A.is where intense focus is needed for the task at hand. I.A. is where we surrender our focus & allow the enjoyable noticing of sensory stimuli. I believe life doesn't get much better than during I.A.- How much better it could be if shared.

How should I know? The last time for me was a sock hop at the Y- if we dance on the first date, do I have to leave my shoes on? A long walk would be nice, but I'd probably be distracted- looking for the courage to hold your hand [ I wanna ]. I hear Tim's can be like an interview, but thats OK- I need the job.
