Hi, I'm Laura. I have a wonderful job at a law firm I enjoy and I want someone I can spend my downtime with. Also, I am a vegan, so I don't eat meat, fish, eggs, dairy or honey, and don't wear leather, wool, silk, feather etc. Don't let it scare you though LOL You accept me and I'll accept you. I have a bunny, Dexter, who is my special little guy, so if you have a problem with rabbits (what, are you insane?) well, he's gonna be with me for a while.

I'm socially and politically aware. I go to protests and demonstrations, on behalf of both animals, humans and any other cause I think needs a louder voice. I'm passionate about compassion. You don't have to come with me LOL Although a fellow poster-holder would be awesome.

I love my huge extended family but they live up north and I don't get to see enough of them. Thankfully there's a wedding and family golf tournament soon. We love excuses to get everyone together, drink, ditch golf carts and build giant human pyramids. I'd need someone who wouldn't be intimidated by meeting my entire family (mom, brother, grandmas and a whole lotta aunts uncles, cousins, first cousins once removed, and second cousins) all at the same time, when the time comes, because there's no way around it. We're close. You should probably love water too. Sitting by a fire down at the water, swimming, boating and other water sports are things my whole family likes to do.

I'm a huge movie buff, leaning more towards horror, sci-fi, action and b-movies. Some of my favourite movies are Evil Dead (I've seen the musical, which is also awesome), Reservior Dogs, Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, and The Princess Bride. My fav shows are Family Guy, Weeds, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Battlestar Galatica and Dexter. I'm also always reading a book of some sort, fiction, non-fiction, doesn't matter. I love punk and hardcore music, but there's a bit of everything on my ipod. I also have a few podcasts I listen to religiously, like The Bugle and Filmspotting. I love going to concerts and local shows. I really enjoy dancing and was a ballerina for 10 years. I've traveled before and would love to do it more often if I had someone to go with me.
I'd say I'm kind of an oddball. I have a dry sense of humor that tends to offend, but really, I'm just kidding around! I've been told I'm "sassy" and I think that's a good thing. I'm pierced and inked and if you don't like that, move along since there is more to come.

I like nerds, geeks, musicians (Rockband and Guitar Hero do NOT count. I'm talking real instruments), artists, punks, veg*ns, actors... But I'm not that picky and have found all sorts of people to be interesting and worth getting to know a bit deeper. Not everyone falls into a nice neat box and I know that =) I think what I want is pretty basic. Sense of humour, likes to go out sometime, and stay in others, honest, open... I also like guys who take charge so please don't be shy, and send me a message.

Probably just meet at a cafe for some tea (I don't drink coffee, not part of being a vegan, I just don't like it) sit and chat, get to know each other. Maybe take a walk and explore the city a bit. Or just lay on the grass somewhere. Patios, now that the weather is nice would be a good choice as well, as long as it isn't raining.
