I have reached stability in most aspects of my life: a good job and career path which I enjoy, a comfortable house for myself and my daughter, and a peaceful relationship with my x-spouse. I am now looking for someone to date: and I mean date! putting in the effort and the time to build a relationship for the long term. I don't believe in the "perfect match", but think that anyone in the long-term dating pool should have a mental list of "must haves" and learn to compromise on the rest.....or you will be on this site reading profiles forever:)

My true passion is to raise my daughter with the core values that will allow her to contribute. She is 5 and I have her 50% of the time so if you are scared by kid-talk or the time commitment and flexibility involved in raising a child, I am not your match. I take my career, my family, and raising my daughter very seriously, the rest I do not get very stressed about and would consider myself laid back person. I am a very positive, eternal optimist and surround myself with the same type of people. I attend church weekly and have a strong faith in God. My friends say I have a dry sense of humor and that I should do stand up.....but my friends aren’t very funny so you will have to see for yourself. I am an East-Coaster who has lived here for eight years and love the people, the food, the weather, the prices of Texas but I'm still trying to understand NASCAR, the need for an oversized pick-up, "America's Team", and the "Pledge to the Texas Flag" in school.

For fun I like enjoy football season in the winter (Go Giants and Virginia Tech) and the occasional Mavericks game. I love the road trip to the small-town hole in the wall restaurant or bar as well as all of the local festivals around here. I am a 3-day a week gym guy....I not killing myself at the gym but feel a need to balance out my eating habits. I love different cultures and I'm really up for trying anything (generic but true) Cold beer, good food, music, weather, and company and I am happy.
