I like simple pleasures. A picnic including kite flying is my idea of a great day. Add water and it is like west heaven. Sitting on the warm ground, digging in the dirt with sweat running down into my eyes is something that never seems to get old for me. I also like being in an airport, any airport, with my passport and suitcase clutched in my sweaty little hand, excited about going somewhere, anywhere. Trains, planes and automobiles!

I am living in a city. However, I spent a major part of my adult life living in the mountains, back in the woods. Country girl is alive and well in me.

I've been retired for several years and I do pretty much anything I want. I am pretty independent. I want a mate and I want someone that I need. I am looking for someone who is reasonably comfortable with himself, who might like an adventure now and again. He would be up to flying a new kite or packing up to go about anywhere. Hopefully, he is looking for a partner, friend, companion, lover and playmate. He is tall or short, but has an interest in things. He wants to learn new things and improve old things. His spirit flies free. He is looking for me. All of that said, I won't know him until I look him in the eyes, and lay a hand on his arm. Then I can tell you what I want him to be. We have chosen a neighborhood cafe with outdoor seating. I park and begin my walk to the "First Date" with you. I enter, and you stand and walk over to me to say hello and bring me to the table. You seat me and touch my shoulder, a lingering touch, friendly. You have already ordered me a cup of tea and it arrives. I reach across the table and touch your hand to say thank you for your thoughtfulness. We talk, and talk, for an hour. You ask if I would like to walk for a little while and I am begining to wonder if you can read my mind. You pay the check and we go outside, you reach for my hand and the safe sensation I feel is delicious. We walk and talk for another hour. We decide to go back and have a meal. I like you. I really like you......
