Music: Rock, Prog Rock, Blues, Swing, Jazz, Classical, Metal, Ambient. I'll skip the rap and pop and most country. Just as comfortable dressed for the Symphony as I am in leather and denim in a dive. Hope you are too!

Movies: Movies? Yep, I like many of them just fine. Blue Velvet is one of my all-time favs. I love all things Pixar. Total Star Trek geek too. Serenity/Firefly was awesome. Guess I'm a Sci-Fi dork, LOL! I like a lot of indie/foreign stuff as well. Let's see what's shaking at the Angelika.

Books: Dashiel Hammet, Elmore Leonard...don't tell anyone but I love Laurel Hamilton's Anita Blake series, shhhh! Any Sci-Fi, Cop-stuff, Detective stories, techno-thrillers.

Sports: Not much interest in any ball sports. Any sort of racing is fun. I'd love to learn sharpshooting, archery and definitely have to learn to sail someday very soon.

Interests: Y'know, doing stuff...or not. Lots of interests and hobbies. I like to build and/or assemble things. I like hot-rodding my old cop-car and participating in show, racing and cruise events when I can. Realistically, not very often these days, difficult without a garage or parking space to work on the poor, beastly machine.

Dreams: Hmmm...To get a little house in a hip town (like Savannah or (gasp!)Hoboken or even (dare I say!)Red Bank!) An essential part of this dream is a versatile, confident, off-beat, high-heel lovin' woman who looks great in tight jeans, a little black dress and everything in between, who loves to go to the symphony several times a year.
Best Features: I'm just the hottest, out of shape, aging metalhead on my whole block! I clean up really well but I need someone to help me pick a haircut(after 27 yrs!). And I just bought a rower from a neighbor...so the 'out of shape' thing may not last much longer. Come on, nag me about that, please?

About Me: Just looking to have a little fun to start off. Kiddo's off to college and I hope yours are too. Lets meet after work for a drink, check out tasty restaurants, lurk in sidewalk cafes, explore nearby attractions, ride the Cyclone. Not looking to stay out all night, I work really early in the AM, just looking for someone to spend pleasant evenings with, maybe(ok, definitely) more with someone who's available for dating and occasional long weekends.

About her: Good person of course, strong ethics and considerably more cultured than I(that's pretty easy). I'd like to avoid any sort of traditional local Brooklyn mindsets. Pet friendly, not pet obsessed.
Eccentric is cool and actually a 'must', but crazy or neurotic is definitely not! No happy little pills, but therapists are okay, LOL! It would help a lot if we shared similar sleep patterns. I'm amazed by how many folks don't sleep at night, new fashion? You must be reasonably local and you must be willing to make time for dating. You can't build anything real if you won't even make time for dinner.

About pets...I like most of them and have a cat of my own. She's extremely low maintenance. I'm quite sure I'd fit better with another 'cat person'.

I work in Chelsea and 'The Village'. Shoot me an e-mail and I'll meet you at Mamoun's for a lunchtime falafel, or if you're feeling carnivorous, I'll get you a burger at Paulie's on Second Ave or Corner Bistro on the west side. Then there's allways Dojo, good cheap, mostly healthy eats.
