Been around the site for a little while now, and still trying to figure out how I would describe myself. Never really thought about how difficult it can be to present oneself in writing in an accurate, but interesting, manner. I think I’ve still got a ways to go.

I’m single, never married, 43 and don’t have kids. I tend to lead a quiet life: work, relaxing at home, the occasional trip to see friends or to do something fun. Reading or listening to music is a favorite way to spend an evening. When I have the chance to visit a site with historic significance that is usually enjoyable.

I prefer tea to coffee and don’t drink or smoke. I like history, collecting, reading, writing and music. Found anything fun on eBay lately?

I’m really not sure what I’m looking for here, but making new friends is always great. I tend to make fewer, close friends as opposed to lots of casual friends and am very loyal to my friends.

A first date… I would think the best would be something simple. Perhaps meeting somewhere for tea or a snack? Maybe meeting at a museum or historical place to look around. An activity that would allow plenty of time to talk and that would also provide some material to get the talking started if there was initial awkwardness.
