My name is Kelly.

June 13, 2008 makes three years since I moved out to Colorado from Florida. I moved out for a job and to be closer to my family who come out to Colorado every other summer.

I have been a Christian since I was 8 years old. I have had my ups and downs since then but I have always felt God by my side and consider Him to be my best friend. I would like the man in my life to share the same beliefs as I do and if he is willing to learn more about them that would be ok too :)


Part of the ups and downs I talked about in the above paragraph is that I am a person who is living life with the challenges of Atttention Deficit Disorder (ADD)...I call it ADD but the clinical term for the entire disorder is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)...they break it down with and with out the hyperactivity part...ooo Kelly's in teacher mode :) lol

Anyway...I have had the disorder all my life because its hereditary but got officially diagnosed October 2003...oh the joys of growing up in the 80's :)

I have dated very little since I got the diagnosis...so any relationship I have right now will be a huge learning experience for me and the guy that I am with.

So if the ADD scares you away ...THEN STOP READING RIGHT NOW...nothing I have written from here on out will change your mind and I am not going to be anything less than what God made me...and trust me I have asked Him many times to take it away but He hasnt done that yet so I live my life with the challenges :)... and as a song in one of my favorite movies RENT says "TAKE ME AS I AM" :)

And if the ADD doesnt scare you away and if you are willing to learn with me then by all means READ ON!!! :) ...you might like the rest of the package :)

I am a HUGE of all things Disney. :) I blame it on my parents who took me to Disneyland when I was 9 months old :)...and it didnt hurt that we lived four hours from Disney World when I was growing up. :D I have been to Disney World too many times to count...and worked on "property" for the four and half years I lived in Orlando. As weird as it sounds I really miss that place and am looking very much to my next visit...when ever that is :)

I support our troops by participating with the Patriot Guard Rider...no I dont ride a motorcycle...atleast not yet cuz I cant afford one :)...they are a great group of people who I consider to be my family. :) I also support the troops by maintaining the Operation Celebration profile at My Space which "Celebrates The Military and Those Who Support Them" (kdsaysthanks)


Also I am deeply in love with five guys... :-O...what's up with that you say!?!?!? :) hehehe (please keep reading):)

I am talking about my five nephews...

Cannon (10), Evan (7), Deke (4) and Bobby (2) and Matthew Niel (born 15 Nov 07)

Yeah you can have a deep love for more than one child...and that blows my mind!!!...esp when you compare it to the love God has for all of His children. Woah...deep thought! :)

I am also a fan of all things sports ...esp sports that are for individuals with disabilites..i have volunteered for a many Special Olympic events through the years.

I also have volunteered for three Paralympic Games (Olympic events for people with PHYSICAL disabilites)...Atlanta 1996, Sydney, Australia 2000, Athens, Greece 2004... and yes I am planning on volunteering in Beijing, China in 2008, Vancouver BC Candada 2010 (my first winter games) :) and London England 2012 :) ...and will continue to do it as long as possible :)

Some of my favorite Paralympic sports are Quad Rugby (as portrayed in the 2005 Oscar nominated documentry MURDERBALL..yeah I know some of the guys in the movie) :), Wheelchair Basketball, and Goalball (for blind and visually impared athletes)
