About Me
Why settle for an ordinary life? I mean, you only get one chance at it, and I can't think of a more boring word than "ordinary." Who really wants their tombstone to say, "Here lies so-and-so. He lived an entirely ordinary life?" Really!
If you are the kind of person who's idea of a "successful" life is a two story, 4 bed, 2 bath home with a 2 acre manicured lawn, white picket fence, and 2 SUVs in the garage, you'll probably want to click that little "back" button on your browser now. If, on the other hand, you view a successful life as one full of adventures, memories, far-away places, lessons learned, joys and sorrows, and deep meaning, then keep reading...
Overall, I am really laid back/easy going, but I am also passionate and driven about issues important to me like community, thinking, music, travel, adventure and friends. I would much rather be outside camping, kayaking, walking my dog, biking, or just relax under the sun than inside sitting on the couch, That is, unless there is a Wings game or LOST on. I am a huge music person, and if you can sing along to Sublime or Ben Harper, we'll be on the same page. I also dabble in jazz guitar and singing/songwriting. I'm not a huge bar person, but I still occasionally enjoy hitting them with friends to sing some karaoke, play shuffleboard, or throw darts. Otherwise, I also enjoy getting together with friends to play board games and cards.
Currently, I am a full-time cubicle dweller, although I've been plotting my cubicle escape strategy pretty much since I started this job. I'm way to much of an adventurer to spend my days all cooped up. Former experiences/life stages have seen me in the South Pacific (Peace Corps,) and Phoenix Arizona. I'm an MSU alum (go green!!) with a psych degree. I've realized that the only way I'll ever find truly meaningful work is to start my own business, and I am working on that currently.
Intelligence is a huge turn on for me. If you can capture my mind, you'll likely have captured me. A sense of adventure and passion are tied for close seconds in what is important to me.
First Date
-Comedy club, my all time favorite! -A meetup at the local dog park. -Chatting at a coffee shop. -Something outside (only in the summer though. I hate winter and cold.)
