Have you ever wondered why...that love can make you laugh or cry
why do we need this word..its only what we say,or maybe heard
It can make your tears fall like rain...make you sad and be such pain
This word we seek,we know and trust...we've got to have it we know we must
It gives us hope and it gives us dreams...but still I dont know what it means
It makes us strong it makes us weak....this little word we long to speak
But this word is not to blame....only we can carry that shame
we toss it around like its lite as air.......but when it falls, its to heavy to bear
If it was a stick of dynamite.....you can bet that everyone would hold onto it tight
to toss it around we would not dare....we would hand it over to someone with care
I'm just as guilty as you will see.....for I long for that word to be said to me
and say it to someone that I care for so much....to hold in my arms,to kiss and touch
and what I give I want to recieve.....for when its true it will never leave
But for me to have it ,and I dont know why....but I cannot grasp it, when it passes by
for now I know I need to be content....and if it comes ,it will br heaven sent
