OK...hmmm. I'm not really keen on describing myself, I prefer to leave that to others but I'll give it my best shot.

I'm a 36 year old Brightonian who stubbornly refuses to act his age. I currently work as a counsellor and am training up in London doing a Masters in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I guess I'm kind of arty - I have a Masters in Film and like everything from Arthouse to Grindhouse. My other abiding passion is music. I've got time for everything bar 99% of metal and anything that Simon Cowell has had his grubby little mitts on. I really like anything left-field, whether its electronica or fuzzed up guitarry type stuff.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

I suppose I'm not really sure if there is a definite type of person that I'm looking for -I would just see how "we" get on. Like most people, I want hearts and flowers but I would also like to meet people I can cause trouble with and have a laugh. I really like people who are a bit quirky and don't follow the herd. A sense of humour is essential, I really am not so keen on people who take themselves too seriously. Saying that, I like people who can navel gaze with me on long nights.

I am looking for a soul-mate now. Had my fill of brief encounters. Also looking for new friends, so if romance isn't your bag then that is fine.

DISCLAIMER (!)

I've got a couple of female friends who have been on sites like this and they tell me that they are often inundated with messages from the "dirty rain-mac" brigade (you know the sort - inappropriate messages and occasional pictures that are not necessarily of their faces). Just wanted to say that I am emphatically not one of these hairy palmed types. I'm looking for something genuine whether it be a relationship or friendship. I'm pretty easy going and am not after that "one thing." Phew - glad I got that off my chest.

I guess (and sorry to be unoriginal) a quiet drink in some dingy hovel in Brighton. Just somewhere we could get to know each other and blab our hearts out.
