I am what you see. A single dad, who loves his job, loves his kid, and misses having someone to share all of life's little moments with.

I have a sick sense of humor, and I can't live without laughter. My google-fu is strong also.

I have a son who will be 6 in July 2009 and he's the reason behind everything I do. I have a decent relationship with his mother and I am a very proud and involved daddy.

I am Finnish-German-Irish American, and I'm trying to learn more about my Finn heritage and the culture. I recently learned about a concept called SISU. It's a trait that I apparently have because I'm Finnish, and it explains a lot about my life. I have went my whole life without being able to define this trait, and then I start researching my heritage, and lo and behold, the answer was right there all along.

I work for a fleet company, in accident management. It's somewhat like being an insurance agent, only a little more fun. I help someone every day, so it's good for my warm fuzzies that I need.

I write on the side, mostly nonfiction for my own personal journals, but I do blog once in awhile, both on my own blog and a 'professional' blog. I also wrote a comic book script about 12 years ago for a friend who was self-publishing, but he ended up 'going out of business' so it never saw the light of day.

I also have realized over the last year that it's not worth it to try hard to meet someone - I was in a serious relationship (not my marriage, that ended a long time ago) that ended and I went out and tried really hard to date, and my heart wasn't in it. At this point in my life, I'm ready to date again, just nothing serious.

Well I don't dance, and I'm not the devil (as far as anyone can prove)

I like comedy, I like magic. I know places that do both. I think that there does need to be alcohol involved, because I am a quiet shy person (until you know me), so I get a little more charming if I have one drink, I guess it's social lubrication or something.

So, let go somewhere for a drink. Lets NOT get drunk. Then there should be entertainment, but no movies.

Then, we can go our separate ways and phone our friends and tell them about the big 'date night', yes, guys do that too...it's just a little different conversation.
