So, I took a chance and put in a really bad pic of me and a great one. You can see the good and the bad. LOL

I would like to find someone that can keep me on my toes. You can do that if you're intelligent, curious, quick witted, affectionate and, above all, a man of your word.

If you'd like to join me for a good movie, play, museum or flea market, that would be fantastic. How about some Pinochle on a rainy day? I used to do a lot of picture puzzles, and am not sure why I don't any more.

Jobs I've had in the past include waitress, maid (Donald O'Conner made a pass at me), computer operator and clerk. Now I'm slinging code for the Feds. Spent the summer between 11th and 12th grade in Wildwood, NJ and had the time of my life though the 112 rooms that we painted made me loathe the sight of paint brushes to this day. Beware, I'll growl at the sight of a paint brush.

I love history, especially European history. I was born in Germany and go back as often as I can. I'm a huge Europhile. I like to go to Europe in the Spring or Fall. It's the best time of year in my opinion. When your hurtling down the Autobahn at 100 miles per hour you feel like you have the world at your feet.

In my 30s, I studied voice so I could do one thing well before I died. Don't let it scare you but I sang for the local Opera company for three years. I played a nun, prostitute and an old lady, after a younger man, and I find out later he's my son (It was a comedy). Don't worry, I won't make you go or listen to any opera even though I think it's some of the most wonderful music ever written or sung (Wagner not included).

I like detective work so I've been working on my genealogy. I'm learning more German and Latin than an average person has any need to know. I can speak Latin now, but only if the discussion centers on births, deaths or marriages.

And let me apologize to you guys out there who are into NASCAR, camping(well, a cabin with a bathroom and bed is my "camping" limit LOL), hunting/fishing and Motorcycles(they scare me to death). I guess I'm just not Americanized enough.

I would prefer to correspond with someone that lives within an hour of Mechanicsburg, PA. Long distance relationships are too difficult to maintain and I'm too selfish/impatient to wait for weeks between visits. If you are a workaholic, we may not be the best fit.

PS. Yes, I built the dog house. I like doing things like that sometimes so I hope your not intimidated by a woman that can use a hammer. Don't worry, I won't use it on you! (Either the dog house or the hammer). I've put in a patio, put siding on a shed and rebuilt a room in the basement for my "Theabrary", or as my friends and coworkers like to call it, the "Librater". (Library/Theater Combo)

Once we find a common interest, it would be nice to do something along those lines. Something simple. I've always enjoyed doing the everyday things with someone. Need to get groceries? Have to pick something up at Lowes? Want to go to a garden shop? I love Lowes and kitchen shops. I love looking at all the gadgets.
