Three activities make the world disappear . . . sailing, photography and getting lost in a new place. I used to enjoy reading to my young son's elementary school class, and the look of pride in his smile when I could make the other kids laugh. Max means the world to me. He's eighteen now, and our relationship is evolving, but we are still close. I am caring and considerate, thoughtful and contemplative, intelligent and creative. I love to sit and talk for hours while listening to music and sipping wine, cooking dinner, or just relaxing after work. Most people say that I'm confident and outgoing. I learned a long time ago that having fun is up to me. I don't suffer arrogant, selfish, pushy people, and I'm not afraid to stand my ground with anyone. I can talk to anyone, because I am genuine. I work hard, but not too hard. There needs to be time to take in the things that restore our being. Musically, I like jazz in its many forms, classical, new age, flamenco guitar, rock, bluegrass, Celtic/Irish/Scottish, and of course, the Blues! Most of my reading is historical, but I have been known to get hung up on specific fictional writers such as Chaim Potok and Pat Conroy. As far as what I'm looking for, she is capable and talented, intelligent and conversable, carefree but reliable, with the emotional and physical dexterity to negotiate all that life presents. She is over her ex, and emotionally availble to be in a relationship. The needs of children, the chores of the home and office, and the delights of an unexpected guest are all handled in stride. She is happy doing her thing or mine, or in sharing a passion. She often says, "Thank you for remembering. What would you like to do now?" She can say "What? Are you kidding?" without judgement. Her smile makes my heart skip a beat. Her touch melts away tension. Her kiss? Well, you'll have to find that one out for yourself. She will occasionally say, "Ooh. I'd love to wear that for you!" I will compliment her often.

At 9:00 AM, coffee and pastry at the local grounds dealer followed by a drive through the country to old abandoned buildings and over-grown grave yards to take pictures. Then a nice lunch at the bagel shop, with shopping afterwards downtown. At 3:00 we brouse Barnes & Noble for about an hour and half. Then we part to have our time alone to prepare for a dinner which requires each of us to be well-dressed (sexy is good, hot is better!).Wine and a light dinner with lots of conversation about our day makes us want to remove our shoes and walk in the sand on the lakeshore while the sun sets.
