Hi, thanks for looking at my profile. I've been on here on and off since I moved to reading 18 months ago and thought it was time for a little editing (1984 style :-) ).

Since moving here I have spent some of my free time visiting friends, they seem to be scattered all over the country these days and the rest getting to know Reading and London.

I like getting out and about and visiting new places either on foot or in the car, I like racket sports - but I don't take them very seriously.

I work as a research scientist which I really enjoy and find very rewarding - I am very happy and hope to have a long career in this area (i'm fairly ambitious and want to be the best I can be at what I do).

To relax I like reading (fiction and non-fiction), going on walks into the countryside (i'm originally from the country and miss the outdoors and wildlife) and going to the pub with friends.

I'm fairly laid back and happy with life at the moment. I like to think I am honest, loyal, caring and friendly and hope to find these qualities in that special someone.

I also like travelling - i've been to a few places in Europe and recently visited the US which was great - such an amazing place.

Maybe a nice pub/bar/cafe in town - depends on what we have in common. Doesn't have to be a first date (if we click that can come later :-) )we could just go for a drink - less formal and a better opportunity to get to know one another.
