Just kicking the tires on here because I am not exactly enamored of the bar scene.

Growing up in Los Angeles and New York made me very curious about other cultures, so traveling the world has always been a dream for me. (I also spent time in the Piedmont Triad area of NC, which was a culture shock to say the least)
I spent two months in Europe backpacking around and seeing 5 countries on a shoestring budget, which I would recommend everyone do at some point in their life.

Warning:I am a huge political junkie and policy wonk.

What am I looking for in a woman? Someone I can trust, even if the truth hurts. Someone who cares about the world around them, takes pride in their physical appearance. What I used to get away with in my 20's doesn't work in my 30's and have to watch my diet and exercise daily to keep myself in shape.

I am also an officer of the Grammar Police, so please understand the difference between your, you're, and two, too, and to. They are offshoots of the "Phone Cops". Bonus points for getting that obscure reference without resorting to Google.


I am also looking to learn the Gaelic or Manx languages. Odd, I know, but I look killer in a kilt and need to get in touch with my Scottish heritage.

Dinner and a stand up comedy show? I tended bar at a comedy club for 4 years and that was one of the best jobs I ever had. I also used to perform stand up and have enormous respect for those guys. (Except Dane Cook, who I regard as a joke stealing hack who has presence but no creativity)

Or scuba diving? One of the guys I met at law school is a former dive master/instructor and he got me interested.
