4/27/2009: Profile Rewrite

Okay I am going to rewrite my profile in hopes that someone actually reads it.

Who am I:
I am a male that has been divorced for 18 years. I do not believe in jumping from a relationship to a relationship. My last long-term was over 2 years ago. I work hard, I am not one for games or BS. I will not sugar coat anything just to make you feel better. I am a realistic person, believing that I am the solution to any problems I have. I am a happy person, rarely a down day. I strive everyday to make a complete stranger smile.

Why am I here:
I rarely get the chance to get "out of" the work enviroment. With my job, it's hard to make time to socialize at random. Not that I can't, just that my work load doesn't allow it often. Hence, the internet and Plenty of Fish. I am searching for that one woman that will become a partner in my life. I don't need a woman to take care fo me, or support me, or pick up after me, or cook for me, or anything else. I am completely self sufficient, able to cook, clean and provide for myself.

What am I looking for:
A woman with her head on straight, not still attached at the hip to an ex boyfriend or husband. Drama free and able to be a part of someone else's life. She needs to be funny, witty, smart, and able to talk or hold conversations in history, politics (without getting peeved over a different opinion), science, etc. I don't want or need a barbie doll high maintenance woman, I don't have the time for it. If you need that much maintenance, you really have issues! She should enjoy camping, fishing, cooking food out on the grill, etc. I don't want a prissy, can't get my hands dirty, oh my gosh I might break a nail type of woman. Keep moving! She will need to love animals as I am a big animal person. Dogs, cats, horses, whatever.

What I offer:
I am a hard working, funny, smart, jack of all trades type of guy. I can fix about anything mechanical, including vehicles, appliances, etc. I can put in new floors, build a dog house, assemble a shed. I can plant a garden, write a database, or build a new deck. I am a good cook (ask me about my ribs!) whether inside or out (I prefer grilling!). I can do laundry, mop the floor, run the vaccuum and wash dishes. You should too. I have two weimaraners (weimawhat is proper English *laughs*) that are my companions. My taste in music is pretty simple. No rap. Jazz, rock, country, all are fine.

First dates, sheesh, talk about pressure situations! A nice long talk, over something light to eat. No alcohol, it dulls the mind. As the mood eases, a walk along the river or lake, just to enjoy the sounds of nature. Then a nice meal, nothing to heavy, with a glass of wine to unwind from the remaining pressure.
