Update 3/15/09: I relocated to the Sebastian area but still have family & friends in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I visit every 2-4 weeks. I love to drive, so distance is a relative thing to me. 11/12/09: My first crafts show is Nov. 14th at Riverside Park in Sebastian. Ya'll come by and check out my candles and holiday fare. I started my online Master's degree program & I'm very excited about it. Life is good! Now if I could just find someone to share my joy and walk with me on the journey...or ride a bike, or roller skate...Is there a skating rink nearby?...or sail away, or...?

First a short meeting (30 min. or less) face-to-face to see if we want to continue to a REAL date. You know within the first 5-10 minutes if there's a spark. A spark doesn't mean romance and love, but whether you want to invest your time in getting to know the other person. Fill your life with people who bring you joy! (Must like cats! after all...I like dogs.)
THEN CONSIDER:
Pack a picnic and drive to the beach to watch the full moon rise and talk until it is dawn. Maybe drive to the Keys or Tampa and eat steamed crabs at a restaurant on the water. Or cook a simple meal and watch a movie with homemade popcorn and GORP. I do not need to be impressed with highbrow spending. I do need to be treated once in a while to a night out. I appreciate romance and can be quite the romantic but I don't necessarily require it, only consideration and thoughtfulness. Original thinking would be a delight too. I love surprises.
