I've never been one to talk about myself so bare with me as I attempt to paint a picture for the world to see.

I'm a single father of a wonderful 16 yr. old son. No one will ever come before him. He is the most important person in my life along with my family. Without them I honestly don't know where I'd be in this life. I'm not looking for someone to be "mom" to him but someone who'd be willing to work on establishing a trusting relationship with him along with putting in the work with having a relationship with myself. If that's not something you are willing to do or something you don't want then I'm not the person for you.

I think it's important to establish a friendship first before trying to jump into any relationship. Establishing that friendship first allows for the time needed to get to know one another and to see the bigger picture.

I'm fairly quiet and laid back so drama isn't my thing. I don't have time for it and as I've gotten older I find that I don't have the energy to deal with it either. I like to keep things as simple as possible. No need to complicate things if possible. Although I may be laid back and quiet I'm not afraid to voice my opinion if someone attempts to step on my toes.

I enjoy fishing and camping when time allows it. I haven't been able to do much of either lately since I've been in the middle of a job change. I'm open to experience someone elses hobbies. One never knows what other things they may enjoy doing if they don't at least try to experience other hobbies.

My music taste is wide. A lot of it depends on the mood. I tend to lean more to the classic rock, but I've listened to a big variety of music.

Probably the biggest issue with me being able to establish relationships is the fact that I'm a truck driver. It's hard to put the time into a new relationship when you aren't able to be there all the time to work on it. I need to find someone who is understanding of that kind of lifestyle and willing to put in the extra work that comes with trying to establish a relationship with someone who isn't home a lot.
