Starting to think this is a complete waste of time, but on with the show...I'm putting this first to save time and effort. I have recently gotten started on this site and have been contacted by a few ladies. If you are one of these, I applaud you, as that's very brave in my book.
However, and this is difficult because I do think of myself as a gentleman, I have been contacted by quite a few ladies who are just not my type. I can't say it any other way. Body type, average to thin, is my preference, as are women a few years younger than myself or my age. I am not interested in little girls or large women who resemble Aunt Bea, just puttin' that out there. I like classy, beautiful women, and if I take the time to contact you...you are in that league.
I do not mean to sound elitist in anyway, or downgrade anyone because of physical looks or appearance or age, it simply is how I am wired. We all have our likes and dislikes, and I am sure, I am not attractive to all of you, or quite possibly, many of you, but I need to be up front about that.
I hate to not return emails, as I feel it's rude, however, I don't want to put up a front either and go through the explanation process as to why we are not a good fit. If we have corresponded at all on this sight, or otherwise, it means I am certainly interested in you. I am not looking for a friend, I have those...
I am looking for a partner and a lover to spend my time with. When and if I meet someone in person, if we click and pursue seeing each other, I will make my profile inactive instantly. I am not the kind of guy that would shop around while we get to know each other. I have a strong sense of commitment and loyalty. You deserve 100 percent of my attention, if you choose to get to know me, and I hope I would have yours.
As I have obligations to take care of (my kids-I pay my child support-no matter how hard or long I have to work, unlike some.) I work one job at about 55 hours a week, and I am very lucky I love what I do, but my time is valuable. I do want to meet someone I can share my day with, care for, protect,confide in and listen to.
I thrive on special, tender moments, as well as fun, for me, that's pretty much a relationship, even working through the bumps, but I'm very uncertain as to the etiquette and procedure the on-line relationship world is about. So that's enough of a disclaimer, sorry it was so long winded.
So about me: I have decided recently to pursue a long awaited career as a Chef, opting for the hard way, instead of culinary school first. I work, as I said, one full time job (it was two), cooking and learning my craft from a very accomplished Chef, and running a prep-crew at a great place in Coppell, TX and live in Irving about six miles away. I don't have much free time, but would be willing to make some, for the right lady. I love exotic food, old Soul and Blues and long, lingering kisses.(And I am a cuddle Monster.)
I am also a writer and have two blogs to peruse if one may be so inclined. The first one was written over a year and a half time span and is finished, but the new one is aptly titled "Rebel Chef" go figure, and may be found at www.rebelchefone.blogspot.com
I've had some time now to think about describing me in better detail, as to give, whoever might read this, a better idea of who I am.
I am passionate, without a doubt, about things I believe, and love is one of those, as well as driven and focused regarding my chosen vocation. Also irreverent, sarcastic, profane, a hot head, a sweetheart, and fiercely protective of my daughters, friends and family.
That's not to say we don't make each other mad, we do, but underneath it all, I'm solid, I can be counted on, I'm there, and they know it.
I find humor in absolutely everything, quite often inappropriate, but nobody's getting out of this alive, so I say, "Have a freakin' ball", everyday is awesome, I certainly don't take myself too seriously, and I don't expect anyone else to either, unless it is a truly, close, intimate moment...because that is serious, to me.

Why, make you dinner,of course...and talk, and see if the ever elusive "chemistry" is right. But if that's too much, coffee is always great. I don't drink, but if you do, not a problem. So, here goes...

Update: I have met two ladies from this site. Both wonderful, however, I was obviously not their type. First one-one date, clicked really well (I thought)-many phone calls, texts and messages...then simply vanished. Second-two dates, phone calls, texts, etc. and she determined I wasn't the one due to lack of chemistry. Fair enough...frustrating and disappointing but fair enough. There...now we are all up to speed...lol.
