I decided to put this in point form since it was already a bunch of rapid-fire statements:

- I just finished my second year at the University of Alberta where I'm taking a specialization in Molecular Genetics.

- I like to say the whole name because it sounds impressive. :P

- I'm a bit of a geek. (Okay, sometimes more than a bit of a geek...)

- I watch an almost unhealthy amount of movies.

- I will pretty much watch any movie at least once, but I really like weird and/or crazy movies (anything by Terry Gilliam or Stanley Kubrick).

- I have a random and sometimes twisted sense of humour. (Random as in I may accuse you being a leprechaun if you beat me at Foosball, and twisted as in I can't stop laughing during horror movies)

- I like British comedy. (If you like Monty Python, Eddie Izzard, Blackadder, or Red Dwarf; we will get along just fine :D)

- I have an irrational fear of Cheez Whiz.

- I really like animals. Dogs are my favourite.

- I have a dog. His name is George. He thinks he's people.

- Me and sleep have a love-hate relationship.

- I've been told that I'm a "good listener" but I find that I'm a bit quiet until I get to know someone. Unless there is alcohol involved; then I'm very much like this profile. (Crazy, and possibly and rambling...)

- Sometimes I go off topic and start rambling and don't realize it.

- I tend to be honest to a fault, which leads to me sticking my foot in my mouth way, way too often.

- Sometimes I read wikipedia for fun... which means I know way too much about things that nobody cares about; this leads to some very strange conversations.

- I know that I put dating for what I'm interested in, but I would like to have an actual relationship at some point; but I also realize that I have to actually date people for that to happen. So I'm fine with that.

- I guess I'm looking for someone who I can be myself around. Someone who can be silly and sarcastic, who finds my awkwardness cute, and who can appreciate my random sense of humour.

Doing something simple is never a bad idea, going out for coffee or drinks. Something different can be fun too, like a trip to the zoo, going bowling, or playing mini golf. As long as its someplace where we can have fun and get to know each other.
