Just kidding..sorry, yes I know that was cruel and unusual, but you have to agree it beat the hell out of "secure gentleman" or "stable professional" didn't it? Here's the real deal: Moved to west coast of Florida for a little over a year after being in the desert-Tucson, Arizona-for 4 years. I'm a registered nurse.I'm originally from Woodstock,New York, so I've gone from mountains to desert and now my first love-the water.Not a millionaire.I think my Grandmother once called me gorgeous, otherwise I'm reasonably handsome,definitley not an LA treadmill and bottled water guy.Wear my sunglasses over my eyes not on my head.Mostly sane by choice, total sanity bores me;I have an irreverent sense of humor.Well read, intelligent, sensitive without being overly New Age, not afraid to cry (In theory-last time I did was watching "Lassie Come Home";I also cried quite a bit when they invented Disco.I did cry at 9/11)not afraid to be a guy.Not a Miller Light and Nachos football dude,though I enjoy an occasional football game and was thrilled at the last Superbowl.I am a Baseball fan-the Yankees ,but have a real fondness for the Rays. Never watched a reality TV show.Not a big fan of"romantic comedies" or anything billed as "this season's 'Sleepless In Seattle'". A Democrat though I have a healthy mistrust of most politicians-definitley NOT a Bush-McCain fan.Republicans will be very, very, disappointed with me! I am horrified at what has become of our country and environment.I like roaming the desert.Reading a book on the beach.People watching.Funky little diners in out of the way towns.All types of music (but I grew up with the Beatles) except maudlin pop and country (I do like Hank, Merle-you know, real country-not Achy breaky heart junk)classical, jazz if it's real-not elevator jazz-I like jazz where you can smell smoke and wiskey-I like old, real blues.I like ethnic, world music, anything interesting.No Mariah or Janet Jackson please! Love good coffee.A great cigar(don't worry,I don't do it often and I do it alone...unless a lady enjoys a good cigar).A hot summer night.A dry, heady, passionate glass of red wine.Cold,full bodied draft beer. Good food.LAUGHING.Great films and goofy old black and white monster movies.Forget "Ten Ways To Loose A Guy" and similar froth. Getting up at dawn to take pictures.Watching a DVD on the couch.Going for a drive with no destination.Good discussions.On a spiritual path but dislike being showy about it.Great respect for other cultures,ethnicities and spiritual traditions.
I don't know about an ideal match, first, it's a woman who got through this profile so far. She's intelligent.witty.Dry or sarcastic sense of humor.Realizes I've got a great heart.Gives me space without being threatened.Does not need a man to complete her-she is complete but always growing.Has her own interests.Likes to laugh.Likes the outdoors.Enjoys her stuff but isn't totally material.Has embarked on some kind of inner journey without being too esoteric and New Age about it.Is not racist.Reads books.Is real. Has, at least once in her life, made love outside.Started a campfire.Given a couple of bucks to a homeless guy. Can be spontaneous.Has a healthy suspicion about the current government, the media and feels enough already with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and the lives of celebrities-who cares?
Loves the water-kayaking,canoeing, beachcombing-and yes long walks on the beach-but didn't start her profile with that!

For the first time in my life,I've gotten positive feedback on my photos.They are all recent.
Here's the deal: The pics, particularly the one on the rock,get lots of feedback and I appreciate that,however I'm afraid I can't live up to those photos.For every good pic of me about 100 were deleted.And no I don't bring the doo rag and rock to dates.I rate myself a 7.5 on a really,really good day.
