A little about me.

I guess you could say I'm one of the new breed of men. Meaning I'm completely self sufficient. I'm handy, I can cook, I clean, do laundry and all that fun stuff. Personality wise I vary a lot. I can get quite passionate about my interests yet I'm very laid back (not lazy) and very few things bother me. A few exceptions that have, at times, gotten under my skin: seemingly pointless social rules; the abuse of power; violence toward anyone or anything innocent; overly fake people; wedding registries (explanation available upon request); lactose. I laugh a lot, maybe too much. I'm inquisitive, dependable, honest, intelligent and learning to admit when I'm wrong. I like being active, to travel and have lived in several countries. I can get along with pretty much anyone and range from extremely talkative to nearly silent, depending on the company and situation. I'm also very open so don't hesitate to ask me anything.

Unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what I'm looking for. More than once now I’ve met really sweet women that I wanted nothing more than to fall in love with and who met my "requirements" but it just wasn't there. So I concluded that you can’t predict these things. I can probably safely rule out heavy drug users (as in recreational drugs) and overly materialistic women. My guess is that the next person I fall for will be a bit of a moral heavy-weight. Someone who is bothered by the selfishness and greed in our society, who has the courage to stand up to it and the confidence and maturity to still live a comfortable life of her own (with me of course). Someone who can’t watch a world vision ad without wanting to sponsor another child. Someone who will challenge me to be more than I believe I can be and who will forgive me when I convince her to sleep until noon two days in a row. Of course, don't let that description scare you away! As I said, I don't think we get to choose these things, so I'm open to meeting pretty much anyone that I think there is an initial attraction to.

I’m on here because it's difficult to meet new people when you're busy doing what people do. I’m a big fan of human interaction with facial expressions and all. I’d rather take a few hours to go meet someone I know nearly nothing about for a quick coffee than to chat for a week on a computer. Perhaps I'll talk to you soon.

Depends on the person... blind girl + silent film = bad idea. Good idea = being able to talk. This rules out extremely loud concerts or scuba diving for the 1st date... plus, I don't scuba dive. Do people really have preplanned ideas and expectations? This just adds to my feeling that our society is way too uptight.
