I'd like to find someone to do some things with. I like to drive along the coast, and make occassional trips to Yuma, AZ. I love the desert, and make several trips each winter for the fun of it. I have a very good sense of humor and don't concern myself with political correctness or stuffy people....I don't have the time to be that uptight. I have the ability to enjoy my own company very well, and like my life as it is. A companion to do things with would be nice at this time. I prefer to be with an older woman. Because they just aren't all that complicated to date and they look so nice. I'm really not sure what to put down for an age range...or if it really even matters. I don't care for sports period. I'm about as loyal to sports as sports is to the general public...none whatsoever. And that includes football. I'd get more out of pulling weeds than watching baseball. Also I don't hunt or fish. I fished commercially for over 20 years...from the Bering Sea to southern Ca. I've caught enough fish. I don't hang out in bars nor do I make attempts to belong. I'm just me.

I am successfully self employed and have been for many years. My work gives me a purpose. It makes me think and the goal is to stay in business. I've also king crabbed in the Bering Sea and was a paratrooper when I was a youngster in the army for 3 years. These are the only jobs I've had in my life.

For a first date we could do something basic like go have coffee and chat. People generally tend to know within the first several minutes if there is any interest there...or chemistry. If there is chemistry, we can go for a walk or a drive and get to know one another a little better. I tend to meet people well...I'm not real shy and can carry a conversation. I'm originally from Georgia...seems most southerners can talk....at least the ones I grew up around.
