These are some good qualities of friendship attributes that I would like to share with only a very few wonderful people in my life. Warm affection, trusting each other with intimate details of life, growth stimulation, commitment and a willingness to do things together. It's also important to me to have good friends who are surrendered to God and each other and enjoy harmony. Likewise nurturing intimacy is a high priority. I also want friends who understand the importance of keeping the other in touch with reality.

The lovely lady in my photos is my life partner. We are both looking at the possibility of an open relationship arrangement but we don't want to risk destroying what we have and we are extremely health conscious. It's also important to us that we avoid hurting anyone, inside our relationship or out. We don't tolerate lies about outside relationships from each other or likewise with someone who might be interested in being part of our currently monogamous relationship. For instance, as soon as we entertain the idea of seeing someone else we need to feel that this person has the complete approval of their significant other.

This is polyamory, or more clearly stated, responsible non-monogamy. These are rather new relationship concepts that are gaining popularity. I suppose polyamory's growth can be attributed to the all the studies that show a rising rate of failure in mainstream monogamous type matrimony. Swinging is currently the most popular form of non monogamy and most people don’t know what makes polyamory different. Basically, the difference is that swingers are suppose to be concerned ONLY with sex for sex sake, thus keeping the monogamous relationship intact, in theory, at least. In contrast, within polyamorous relationships it's the relationship, as well as complete honesty with all relationship members that are paramount NOT the sex. Sexual attraction is an important part. For instance, you can be in a poly relationship if you are attracted to someone without acting sexual. Simply put polyamory is about relationships. Furthermore within the confines of polyamory, sexual activity and or desire is accepted as a natural part of any relationship involving adults who may find themselves attracted to each other.

How about a quick bite or walk for starters?

I know seeking new friendships is just hard work sometimes. Keep in mind that no matter how much trouble it is to screen out those who will not become your friend there is hope for potentially finding, at least, one best friend here at Plenty of Fish.
