For the rest of you, despite the above vitriol, I'm actually a kind single, unattached, creative/intellectual type, smart, real, honest, communicative, psychologically aware, progressive, sexy, sensual, athletic, young in body & mind. my job:
I manage the green waste recycling division of a Bay Area tree service (complete with sawmill). Not my life's work, but it's an interesting gig. At heart, I'm a nonprofiteer (Comm/Dev). Before that, quit after 2 yrs as an overtitled/underpaid/underutilized staffer for marine eco-nonprofit. Previous day gig was tech, mostly Mac/database consulting. Eastern European Jewish descent. Child in Miami, FL, teenager behind the Orange Curtain in hellish suburban Southern California. East coaster at heart (dad from western MA, mom from Baltimore).

my religion:
I have none, I am an atheist. I find a lot to support that mankind creates gods, and nothing to support the reverse. Raised conservative Jewish, but have absolutely *NO* interest in practicing, nor in having a "Jewish" family. My personal ethics are most akin to Buddhist precepts.

my education:
MFA Theater Directing from Cal Arts. BA in the same from UC Santa Cruz. If I could have several lifetimes, I might also study user-centered design, history and languages. Can think like a programmer or a lawyer, but prefer to dabble in those.

favorite hot spots:
What's with this length fetish? Why is it never a "short walk on the beach?" ;) I'm a Berkeleyite, but would love someone to show me around Golden Gate Park. Enjoy exploring SF neighborhoods, and daytripping when I have a companion to do it with.

Having done the internet for awhile now, first dates are really first "meets" and should be kept simple, just a drink or a bite. If it goes beyond that, it really depends on the person, n'est ce pas? Just find something both might enjoy doing, usually something new for one or the other. As a general rule, I'm not a big ticket item kinda guy, and don't build my life around spending $$$$$ for entertainment, generally preferring to make my own (i.e. more fun to make music than to listen, etc.).
