I'm a friendly, outgoing guy who loves to talk. One of my favourite things in the world is getting to know new people, learning their story, finding out about where they've come from.

On the list of little boxes they want you to put people in, I've picked "Hang out", because that's exactly where everyone gets put when we first meet. Beyond that, anything and nothing are both possible. I don't believe in writing off people I haven't met, but I also don't believe in writing people I haven't met into a role they're not appropriate for.

In this increasingly disconnected world we live in, I want to form connections. This means I do want to actually talk. E-mail is strongly disconnected from people, from how they really talk. I can write a beautiful letter, filled with poetry and metaphor, and tell you nothing about who I am or where I came from. You could meet me in real life and feel like you're with a stranger, even though you've come to love getting my letters.

The uncomfortable reality is, if you want to meet people, you're going to go through the pain of meeting people. If you're on this site, you want to meet new people. You should hit that "contact" button; reach out to meet someone you've never met; and find out if you can really get different results in this predictable town.
