Well, when I'm at my house I must admit I have a love for the video game. A good book, maybe a movie or any activity that doesn't require too much effort. I love having people over and cooking for them. From fancy appetizers to a backyard barbecue, it's all good! (thank you food network) Nothing gets me going more then seeing someone enjoying lots of good food hopefully coupled in with some good laughs. My Grandmother definitely handed down the love of the kitchen to me. I love to experiment with new food ideas and can name as many failures as successes. Let's face it, it's hard to do anything right before doing something wrong. By Murphy's standards I should be close to a streak of culinary successes!

When I am not at home enjoying the comfort of it all and the companionship of my dog you will most likely find me with friends. Once I break free from the allure of my house it's like I don't want to come home. I definitely have a home persona and a social persona. I love to go for wings, see friends at a pub (I'm not much for clubbing these days), enjoy a day at the park or pretty much any activity that gets me out of the house and garners a few laughs. I also like to try to find new restaurants in the city that are hidden gems. I'm still putting together a list of the best ones of each ethnicity. I love spending time with my friends and someone I'm with has to gel with them as well. I like to stay active in the winter and the summer to stay in shape. I think physical health is as important as mental health. I'm also a sucker for a good night at the casino. Anyone up for playing in a poker tournament with me?

Am I perfect? No... far from, but I haven't met anyone perfect so I can't be that far behind can I? I lack some of the social filters that allow people to slide under the radar and "fit in" temporarily. My personality tends to come out because I'm not one to hide anything. I don't try fit in for the short term. Either people like me for who I am or they dislike me for who I am (let's face it, some people don't take honesty and blunt personalities very well and not everyone can like everyone). It can be a bad thing on occasion but it has lead to having the best friends out there! I'm that guy that everyone asks for an honest opinion because they know they are going to get one regardless of what it is.

I have a dog, so tolerating the species is a must. He is quite possibly the cutest (did I say cutest? I meant manliest!) dog out there, with a personality to match. Except don't ever wear a skirt around him. For some reason he feels he must investigate stuffs! I guess the term "dirty dog" has roots in reality! I'm coming around about my opinion on cats too. I think it has to do with all those caption cat pictures!

I'm very casual and laid back and like to avoid stressful situations. It's not that stress bothers me, I handle it quite well, but I really wonder why people sweat the little things. Oh, as far as casual is concerned, I can be found in jeans and a hoodie about 90% of the time. I like being comfortable and I think it looks good on me. I love girls who don't have to dress up just to go for a drink.! (although if a black dress is involved, I do have appropriate attire to compliment!) If you throw on a hoodie to go out for wings and don't spend 30 minutes to get ready you're in good company!

An important part of personality that I look for in a girl is a sense of humour. You have to be able to laugh, at everything. Me, you and people around us. Life is a serious game that shouldn't be taken too seriously or you can't even enjoy it! I believe I am a very mature person but at the same time am a spontaneous kid at heart.

I think the first date should be about fun. It's hard to have chemistry if you're too nervous to let some personality flow into the conversation. Doing something right off the bat to get the jitters out is paramount.
