I'm originally from AL but have lived all over the US and in Europe. I am a very honest, open woman looking for the same admirable qualities in a southern man. First date....do people still date?? Being an old fashioned kind of girl, I still like the way we did it "back in the day" when boys called girls, but I realize times have changed...some for the good, some not. There is no "perfect" first date and certainly no right or wrong way to go about dating. Meeting in a venue that allows for stimulating conversation where both parties are comfortable would be my choice for a first date...a coffee house that plays jazz, a small, quite restaurant for lunch, etc. Talking, sharing, becoming friends is very important and having the opportunity to get to know one another is essential to see if there is chemistry.
