Updated July 5 - I decided to go for a new look. I shaved my head the other day. I got a tan on it over the weekend and I think it looks pretty darn good. If you don't like it, you'll just have to wait a few weeks till it grows back ;-)

I am a tall, confident, charming, successful, great looking guy and I am attracted to attractive, intelligent women with character and a great sense of humor. I have a heart of gold as you should as well. I am generous to a fault. I am a mix of business executive, family man, comedian, smart a***, red neck (fishing), wine snob, sports nut, and best friend. I have been well rounded by everything I have experienced and learned in my life. I have captured the best aspects of all of those experiences and it has made me who I am today. I don't play games, I communicate my feelings, I am slow to anger, and I am extremely supportive of the woman I am with. Sometimes a relationship simply isn't meant to be. It doesn't have to be anyone's fault but as long as you treat someone with respect, you can still be friends.

Unlike many of the guys here, I am not on this website to compensate for insecurities by scoring with as many women as possible. Even though I know many people lie about their age on this site, I will not. I actually have integrity.

If you really want to know WHO I am then look at the large circle of friends that I have, notice the respect I have earned in my career, admire the stability in my life, talk to my friend's wives, and understand the character and stamina shown by the fact that I have raised my daughter on my own (mother not in picture) since she was 1. Talk is cheap and manipulative and it fools many of us. The true measure of a man is stability and the number of people who love him. I have a sense of honor and commitment that runs deep and it shows in everything and everybody in my life.

My ideal woman is intelligent, in a stable steady career, has many close friends and family, is over the clubbing scene, laughs often, has NO mental illnesses (including depression), loves sports, adores children, is compassionate towards the less fortunate, enjoys witty sarcastic banter, loves to travel, and appreciates other cultures and the diversity they bring to the world around us. I would like to find someone who enjoys traveling. I am very self-sufficient and I am not looking for someone to ease the load only to be my companion in life. She should want a man to compliment her life not to fulfill it

My philosophy on life:
1) Good things always come (eventually) to those who embrace a life of honesty and integrity.
2) Happiness and satisfaction can be found in every action as long as you've given it your all.
3) Live life as an optimist but temper it with an ounce of reality.
4) A life without risk is no life at all.
5) Respectful, trusting communication never yields bad results
6) Never be afraid to laugh at yourself. Life is too short to take yourself that seriously.
7) Relationships with family and friends is a yardstick of your life.
8) Compromise is not a defeatist act.
9 ) Be true to yourself, and never pretend to be something you're not.
10) Relationships take constant work. Much like fertilizing, weeding, and pruning your garden.

First dates are best over a quick coffee or lunch. If there is a connection, then move onto a nice dinner where we can talk for hours and get to know each other.
