I am a central Missouri man who is looking for a kind, smart, attractive woman in the area for meeting for friendship, dating and maybe more. I have been told I look a lot younger than I am(how many times have you heard that on here? LOL) although I wish I had the thick hair I had in my 20s. I have all my teeth. LOL.

Smart women interest me. I believe in learning and study. I work hard at a profession of which I am proud. I am steady, have an excellent work record, and take my profession seriously.

I could wear my blue jeans and cheap T-shirt every day, but my work doesn't allow it. I am acquainted well with work casual, I can tie a necktie three different ways, and I wear a sweatsuit, suit, or tux equally well. I shine my shoes and I know the difference between a salad fork and a fork for the main course. I eat with my mouth closed (LOL). I can cook a little and my house is very well kept.

Dad taught me to open a car door or other door for mom and it has carried over to adulthood. I know how to introduce people and am polite. At other times I am a hopeless male without a d*mn clue. LOL

The last time I hit a woman was when I was in the third grade. Dad spanked me. I deserved it.

I love movies and TV that are written well. I love my dogs. I am into woodworking (I can build or fix about anything from a computer to framing a roof), photography, and poker (I gamble low stakes with the boys about once a week and do very well). I don't like to be gone from home more than a week (I miss my dogs and home). I read lots of magazines, a lot of technical books, and a few novels. I am studying photography on my own.

I have never done any drugs other than alcohol. I do enjoy dark beer, a well-made martini, and 12 year old Scotch. I have never smoked cigarettes but I took up smoking a fine cigar about three or four times a month (which I smoke in the garage or outside or at a local watering hole).

I was a skinny, seriously competitive runner until my knees needed help from a surgeon. Now I am just a few pounds heavier and I have slowed down a little. I work out a couple of times a week on the weights and bike.

I was raised as a Protestant, but some circumstances in my life have made me question those beliefs. After many years of just trying to be a good person, I have studied Christianity again as well as Buddhism. I am open and looking.

I am looking for some of the same qualities I described above in a woman. Okay, if you must press me... You must have a sense of humor and think education is important. I hope you have good grammar and can quote a meaningful line from a book, poem, or song. Are you loving and kind? Are you sensual and romantic?

I hope you are proud of the way you have taken care of yourself. I am looking for a woman who likes to primp, but is not too high maintenance. I love a woman who can show off her great legs in high heels, an attractive woman with a sense of style, and one who will --as one of my favorite singers once said -- treat me with "love and a certain respect”.
