New year equals new profile . 39 yr old mixed white male originally from England but has been in Canada since I was six . 5 ft 10 and average build with room for improvement . Looking to meet some new friends and hopefully with a little luck and effort , something serious .
I live downtown overlooking the river valley and with the exception of work and shopping , prefer to stay close to the center . I have a good career which takes up most of my time to the tune of 12 hrs a day six days a week so it would be nice to meet someone to help give me a reason not to work so much .
hiking and skiing are my two favourite activities but haven't done much of either in the last few years . I do try to get out for walks in the river valley and university area when I can . Shopping is another past time I enjoy ... South Edmonton common and West Ed will do when Banff and Whistler are too much of a drive to get to .
I will listen to most kinds of music with the exception of country and rap . I drift towards classical and new age but have recently gotten into jazz and some folk music .
This past fall I took a beginner's digital photography course and intend to get out and pursue some great shots both in town and on all the road trips I would like to take , preferably not alone .
I share custody of a papillon / miniature collie cross with my ex g/f who I still maintain a friendship with .... just to get that out of the way . Taking Rhiley to the dog park is something both he and I really enjoy .
I don't do nightclubs and bars anymore but do enjoy quiet pubs and restaurants . An evening watching movies and cooking is preferred over going to the theatre . Would like to take in a classical concert one day .
I am looking for someone with at least some of the same interests be it for friendship or more . Feel free to write or add to your list .
