What you'll like most about me is my sense of humor. I found that I appreciate a woman's smile, laugh, and voice more than I expected. A woman who can hold an intelligent conversation and is witty really captures my imagination. I like to be appreciated for exactly who I am, not who a woman wants me to be. I really prefer to dance with a woman more than nearly anything I can do with her in public. Few things can match dancing. I am not Fred Astaire but can hold my own in various forms. I am learning salsa, merengue, rumba, and tango as well as some ballroom steps. I can already two-step, waltz, and polka. I'm amazed at how many people love to dance. It's good exercise, it's fun, and it's wondrous to behold. There's something very satisfying about preparing a meal with someone. Manners are very important to me. I've tried my best to follow the Golden Rule. It does not work most times, but it's how I want to lead my life. If there is one thing that bothers me is rudeness or impoliteness. Most people need to appreciate courtesy. What I seek is a attractive woman close to my age -- I don't want to date a woman who young enough to be my daughter! -- who is witty, savvy, can express herself well with words, enjoys dancing and likes to learn. I am not interested in a beautiful, wealthy blonde nymphomaniac who owns a liquor store; that is supposedly the ideal woman. A good looking woman with brains, personality, quiet courage, and curiosity is far more appealing. "The ripest fruit hangs where not one, put only two can reach." -- William Plomer. You can see I appreciate poetry. I hope we can share some special moments together. It's best to see how we get along before discussing a long-term relationship. If we get along well, and the chemistry is there, all will fall into place. It important to be patient. Someone much wiser than I am once said that there is at least one woman in each county of each state of the United States with whom I can be deliriously happy for the rest of my days. I've met at least one that seemed to fit the description, but she chose someone else. I am confident that someone else is out there.

What I'd like to do is something that makes things easy for both -- perhaps coffee. If we enjoy each other's company, then perhaps the next time we can go dancing or whatever. However, it's always best to be cautious. It sounds trite, but I like to treat women the way I want to be treated: with courtesy, with dignity, with respect, and with wry wit. I want her to savor my presence. I want the same in return.
