One of the great things about aging is that I have learned to look beyond the merely superficial things. I realize that the 20-somethings make good eye candy, but that they cant hold my attention because they dont have enough life experience. Women over 40 are the ones that can hold my attention, and not just from physical features. I look for that woman that has beautiful eyes that can see deep into my soul. They are the eyes that will still hold my attention when she is 80. She is a beautiful woman that will still be beautiful (because the beauty comes from the inside) as she continues to age, it is just that her beauty will be different. I am unconcerned about stretch marks, or even an abdomen that has wrinkled skin as the marks of her child bearing. These marks are the signatures of your experiences that have made you the unique and endearing woman that I have been seeking.

I am 5'8", 230#, brown (salt & pepper) hair, blue eyes and a very soft beard. I am as cuddly as a teddy bear, but not as round. I love to read (biographies, historical novels, techno-thrillers and best-sellers), listen to opera and classical music (but I still have a strong penchant for good old-fashioned Rock & Roll). I love the theater and great movies. I like travel... both locally in the many venues that California has to offer (Yosemite, Napa Valley, Tahoe, Mendocino, Monterey/Carmel, Sequoia Forest, Poppy Fields in Lancaster, etc.) and throughout Asia.

I don't drink, I have never smoked and other than a roll of quarters for entertainment in the slot machines, I don't gamble.

As sailors say, I am between boats, but I love ocean (big blue) sailing. I have done the race from San Francisco to Oahu, one half of a circumnavigation of New Zealand and Seattle to San Francisco. Any sailors need an extra hand on deck (or below decks for packing sails, handling navigation and even galley slave?
