Hey there! Thanks for stopping by.
First off, I’m a single dad. I’ve been divorced a few years now and my sons live with me full time. Being a dad is one of the two jobs I always knew I wanted, you can probably guess the other. I don’t consider fatherhood baggage, but if you do, and it’s too much for you, have a nice day and best of luck in your search!
Second, I’m a Texan-geek. Yes I was born and raised in Texas so I do own a pair of boots and a couple pair of jeans, but I grew up in the suburbs. I appreciate outdoor activities like camping, fishing, tubing, etc. it’s just been a while since I’ve done any. I never took to hunting and never really been around a ranch or farm. If you’re looking for a cowboy, I’m not it. I call myself a geek b/c I graduated TCU with a degree in Math and I work in the Telecom field. I love SciFi [yes I saw Star Wars 30+ times as a kid] and I have a ‘unique’ watch you could ask me about sometime.
I do like sports including all the local teams. I like to watch games on TV or better yet, go to the games. I wouldn’t suggest a going to a game as a date early on b/c when I go I’m there to watch the game. Let me sit down at a Ranger game w/a beer and some food and I’m not moving for at least 3 innings. I’m also trying to get back in the swing of playing some sports like soccer and basketball. I do try to exercise regularly but I’m not a fanatic or a gym rat.
Besides my sons, SciFi and sports my other big passion is music. I like all kinds; some of my favorites right now are Linkin Park, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean and perennial favorites are U2, Eminem and Tim McGraw to name a few. You will almost always catch me with the radio turned up in the car singing along with something, windows up or down. I like live music too, the band Close Call at Cowboys is pretty good and the last concert I went to Nickelback/Seether April/09, terrific show.
That’s probably enough for now. I will say that I put ‘Long Term’ on the profile b/c that IS the ultimate goal. I may find a lot of friends along the way, but I am looking for someone I can share the rest of my life with. If any of the above piques you’re interest, holler at me. If not, thanks for taking the time to read it. I do my best to return messages but I think I mentioned the single dad thing which means I don't have tons of time to spend here. Have a great day!
P.S. Bonus points if you can guess what song I pulled my headline from. It is a country song but that's the only hint I'm givin'.

Keep it simple, lunch or dinner, somewhere comfortable where we can enjoy both food and conversation. Live music wouldn't hurt.
