| | Women on their own bikes!!! Awesome. It really is cool to see a woman head out on her own, on trips; or to ride together.. 2 summers ago, I rode across Canada twice, by myself, stopping only to take pictures, and the longer stops to visit. So I am honestly and extremely impressed when a woman undertakes a significant trip. You would never see that just a few short years ago!
anyway.. here is the abridged version of me: tooting my own horn I guess?
I am a guy who enjoys life; and I do want to experience it to it's fullest.. or as much as possible. I enjoy being outside & doing outside activities, rather than sitting about watching a lot of sports on tv.
I try to stay in shape.. & actually have a body like arnold s., but it does have a comfortable layer of 'protective covering' over it. I was, until very recently, an active member of all 3 emergency services, plus an interest in Global Medics.
I am interested in meeting a healthy, active lady.. and see where it goes. We may not have all of the same interests, but if there is a connection, one would certainly try, I think, to at least take an interest in what the other does.

am I looking for friends?? yes of course! You can never lose by making a new friend, and I am being sincere here; friends would be fine!! As mentioned, I am a guy who enjoys life; and would want to experience it to it's fullest.. or as much as possible, as I have certainly seen others' anticipations end too abruptly & unfulfilled in my line of work.
I honestly do not know if I am interested in a "long" term relationship right now, but as I haven't met you yet... who knows? You may be just the person, the very reason for me to change my whole way of thinking!!!
As mentioned, I enjoy outside activities, rock/wall climbing scuba diving kayaking motorcycle. Wandering the trails . I do read, down hill and xc skiing.. try to have a camera with me all of the time.
I keep myself in fairly good shape/condition because of what i do, and would hope that you do too. I am not particularly a 'sports fan' and do not sit watching much TV or sports all weekend. I don't run marathons, but would be willing to pick you up at the end of one :, or pass you a towel, or even dry your back.
Yes.. I do spend a whole lot of time working, and my jobs can be demanding, but they are interesting & exciting and I am quite happy doing them, although some of the circumstances suck big time! And yes, I may be particularly too old for some, but I sure feel 25-30 yrs younger than I am. I am almost 60.
And hey, please, if you're just interested in just being friends or 'hanging out' and/or might be interested in just climbing or trying it, that's cool too, really, as I am indeed looking for someone to just climb in Kingston with me. It is a cool sport! As for education... I hope that from the tasks that I do, one hopefully can glean that I do have one :-)
As to the different criteria and wish lists that seems to be on most profiles... the 'what are you looking for' stuff... well, I don't have a fixation on specific thing. If a friend ship developes into something more, then that is good. But if it doesn't get past the friend stage.. what the heck, a good friendship can last forever! And that is impressive!
Sorry, but this might be a good time to say that I am not too sure about some "womanly" phrases either; like... 'looking for a real man' or 'knows how to treat a woman' ! Just what is being asked here...? I personally haven't heard guys say that they are looking for a "real" woman; and a guys perception of a "woman knows how to treat a guy" usually refers to the different methods of sexual activities. Is that what the woman is saying too? If that is the case, then I am most certainly cool with that too.
My thoughts about any relationship is that it should not be one sided, where the guy does everything. the guy makes all of the plans and arrangements & hoping that it will be the right guess. And that he pays the whole shot all of the time. This involves two people meeting and we should put forth the same amount of energy and thought. We all love excitement and surprises. We all like our backs scratched.

I would hope for some input from the Lady. as it also depends on the time of day/evening. I would want to be able to talk in a normal voice, without the need of yelling to be heard.
OK... why do so some profiles have pictures of their young kids with them... if you have kids, I will be happy to just take your word for it. besides there are just too many really weird jerks out there and they don't need any extra help.
