I'm a caring person that would never hurt a fly. I've never been one to cave in to peer pressure, and will usually go by what I think is the right thing to do, even if it is not the popular choice. I'm still into loud fast music like early new wave (1977-80 style) and 60's garage rock. I'll listen to other music also. Yes, I can even be mellow at times. I sometimes come off as serious and quiet at first, but once you get to know me, you'll find a huge (and sometimes a bit warped) sense of humor. Most of my friends when describing me will mention that I've got a lot of wit (I'm at least a half wit). I'm getting older and wiser, but still often see myself as a kid.

I'm dependable, honest, loyal, and kind. Deep down, I have a very romantic and loving heart. I go out of my way to help people, and try to reason rather than argue. Hopefully, you are the same. For a first date, I'd probably want to just meet briefly. I usually find that people know within minutes if they like a person or not. So, keeping it quick allows us to meet and then decide if a second meeting will make sense with much less pressure than a long planned out first date. If things go well, and time allows, I'm not opposed to having that second date ten minutes later!

I'd also suggest meeting in a public place for your safety. You would not offend me by doing something you see fit to protect yourself when we first meet. After all, we don't know each other, and if we are going to click, it will happen and there will be plenty of time later on for us to be alone when we both are comfortable with it.
