First of all. before getting to the first date, a careful review of profiles, is required. The back, and forth,.... the telephone conversations,... and then the potentially awkward, first meeting.

Immediate profile disqualifiers are those without photos, or those which only contain glam shots. The real person you anticipate meeting should be represented, and not some shinned up representation. So realtors, put away those business photos.

Other profile disqualifiers include those with pictures of trees, landscapes,.... or the old boy friend, Scooter,,,,, even if he will be out on parole in a couple of years. So he borrowed someone's(s) car(s, what's the big deal?

If you live with a room mate with less than 4 legs....eh, not so much.

Distance: Long distance relationships work, if proceeded by a established local relationship (Were talking about the same person here). Then the long distance can be accommodated, because of job change, the witness protection program, or, sometimes prison.

Oh, If you have had a restraining order issued against you, that would be helpful information in the first few back, and forth. Even if you feel it was not justified, because you were going through a "obsessive period" in your life. Well its been said that you know within the first 30 seconds of meeting. So the venue, really doesn't matter. One thing for sure, the movies are not the place.

Having been on other dating sites, it is important that you have an opportunity to look into someone's eyes as they form words in a conversation.
