I'm of average weight, height and build, though a little thinner and more athletic than most. Divorced and cautiously looking for someone to share dinner, theater, music, dinner, and humor. I enjoy thoughtful people who are able to enjoy themselves and appreciate others, who read more than they should, listen to strangers, and love their families. I like people who work a lot, cry a little, and care a bunch about the world.

I enjoy music (especially old jazz), reading (especially fiction), travel (especially to obscure locations), wine tastings (there are many in Massachusetts), and tennis (though if you are a pro, please be nice to me).

Vocationally I have been a development economist, disc jockey, radio commentator, fiction writer, journalist, van driver, composer, and bar pianist (though not in that order). I have lived in four states and five countries and lead educational delegations to developing countries annually. I sometimes think I have had more lives than I can live in.

Finally, I have three great kids and four great grand kids, all of whom live far too far away and whom I love and miss desperately.

Perhaps a coffee shop during the day or someplace in the evening that offers nice wines and soft jazz. A low threat location for a long conversation and a chance to learn if those chemistry and vibe things actually exist.
