It's easy to build online relationships/friendships with someone, talk to them on the phone and really feel a connection either friendship or love. I truly believe that people are put in your life for a reason and I try to remember that when I meet someone. I don't expect a love connection with everyone I meet on here because physical attraction is important and you are not going to have that with everyone you meet. But I do hope along the way I meet some great people who stay in my life as a friend.

I think the ideal first date is to meet for a drink or meet for a casual dinner. You can chat with someone online and talk to them on the phone for months but it's that first encounter that's always awkward. I think meeting in a public place where you can talk over a burger and beer is perfect. That way, it's not a formal "date", but more of a meeting of friends.
